Rock on with our nifty newels

At Pear Stairs we like to think our products rock – and these stair parts do, literally! These Georgian newel posts were the ‘mane’ attraction for an imaginative Hampshire woodworker, who realised that they would make perfect supports for his hand-crafted wooden rocking horse. 

Customer Mike, from Havant, said: "I make these rocking horses as a hobby for children of friends and family. I have a real passion for wood, and I find the posts I purchase from Pear Stairs to be excellent. I have two horses to make next year, so I expect I'll be placing more orders with you some time soon."

Mike purchased the two newel posts, made in hemlock, from our online shop, and will no doubt be trotting back for more in due course.
