Explore A Dream Home: GDImpact 3D Tour With a Bespoke Pear Stairs Staircase
Take a Tour of Luxury: Show Home Featuring Bespoke Staircase by Pear Stairs
Interior design can be hard to visualise simply in the mind, you need to walk through the space to fully comprehend the full effect of the property. This is why show homes are such an important tool for creating your own dream home. COVID has made it exceptionally difficult to experience a show home in person but this does not mean you cannot have a tour.
Property Marketing Specialist, GDImpact, has put together a virtual show home featuring a Pear Stairs staircase that you can take a virtual walk around right now. With the help of staircase designer David Williams, GDImpact managed to put this incredible show home together before photographing it with 360° cameras to create a virtual tour of the property. Steel, Oak and Glass: A Magnificent Mixed Material Staircase
The closed string staircase is a mixed material project, featuring oak treads, oak risers, glass panel balustrades and chrome finished steel handrails. The glass keeps the stairwell bright and welcoming, a popular choice for many modern homes. Looking down the stairwell, you are treated to a kaleidoscope of textures and warm colours as the timber, glass and steel combine for a delightful visual effect.
Subtle Design from One of the UK's Leading Staircase Designers
Of particular note in this design is the shadow groove under the lip of the treads. This provides an element of definition which is both visually interesting and helpful for identifying where the edge of the step is. The edge of the tread, where the “point” of the step is has also been rounded off with a 4mm pencil round for a softer finish. The housing on the string was also cut to size rather than reaching the bottom of the strong, providing a neat and professional finish.
A Staircase Design that Complements the Property
The materials were carefully chosen for this staircase to complement the herringbone engineered oak flooring in the surrounding property. The use of timber, metal and glass in the staircase is a very popular contemporary trend that has a neat and minimalist aesthetic. To experience the 3D tour of the property, click here.
